A number of audio-visual stories and presentations about aspects of North Devon life, past and present, are being developed by schools, community groups and museums as part of North Devon on Disk. These will be available for viewing at the Museums and on the Web. The presentations have been grouped under the topics shown - select a heading for the list of its stories.

Community Life
There are two presentations. The first tells the story of the development of the Whiddon Valley Housing Estate on the outskirts of Barnstaple. The second shows how the Orchard Vale Community School is tackling the problems that are caused by using cars for short journeys.

Thomas E Spencer Collection
This collection of images, taken between 1960 & 1980 by Mr Thomas E. Spencer, a local architect, comprise architecture as well as archaeology, street & roads from across the British Isles & abroad.

William Frederick Rock
William Frederick Rock, Barnstaples greatest benefactor. Topographical and comic vignettes plus images of the man himself.
